A Community Event

Project Blueprint is our way as a student led organization to connect with our community. It was an opportunity for our YAC members to not only speak with Vancouverites, but to know more about their needs living in this city.
Launched in March of 2025, our goal for Project Blueprint is to understand any issues or comments about the city that will brighten it up! As a team we decided to go down to the streets of Robson Square and directly interview/take notes from the public.

With our blue sticky notes, we collected over 90 comments from the public regarding issues that they face on a daily basis. From lack of public spaces, to affordability, Project Blueprint allowed our team to here directly from the public.
To view some of the comments shared out by the public, click the “Learn More” button down below.
Not only were we grateful for all the participation of the people, but we were surprised to see a diverse range of comments.

From these feedbacks we received from the public, as a team, we began sorting them into groups. Groups where we can see how our organization may tackle these issues.
Though, since some comments are in such a large scale, mostly left for the municipal/provincial government to work towards, our team at YAC plans to share out these comments so that our broader community may recognize these issues.
We want to thank all our members for their hard work, and also the public for participating in our Project Blueprint. We look forward to using these resources for our future initiatives!
